More victories in 2008 for CCD

2008 was a fantastic year for CCD. Before we all get too busy with the challenges that will be brought by 2009, I want to share with you the great things that occurred during the last 12 months.

CCD's goal is an accessible and inclusive Canada. To manage the work that will lead to the achievement of this goal, CCD established the following Portfolios/Working Groups to guide our activities in key areas:

• Disability Justice Litigation Initiative
• Social Policy
• Transportation
• International

Canada has  ratified the CRPD. Ratification means that a country agrees to abide by the standards set in a Convention.

CCD shares its expertise on accessible transportation with the Minister of Transport and the Canadian Transportation Agency.
