CCD Election Results - 2nd Vice Chair
I am pleased to report that the CCD Council has elected a new officer to the Executive Committee: John Rae as 2nd Vice Chair.
John, welcome to the Executive team!
As you will see from John’s bio, he brings a wealth of expertise to CCD.
~ Jewelles Smith,
CCD Chairperson
John Rae Bio
Previously, I have held various positions on the Executive, including Treasurer and 1st Vice Chair.
Currently, I am Chair of our Social Policy Committee and a member of our Human Rights and National Access and Inclusion Committees.
I have been involved with CCD for many years, and feel I can step right into the position of 2nd Vice Chair on our Executive.
I am particularly interested in policy, human resources and working to build a more cohesive movement, where those of us with lived experience gain a greater role in all new legislation, policies and programs that affect our lives. After 43 years in our movement, I remain passionate about moving our agenda ahead, and believe firmly in the phrase “nothing about us without us.”
